PACIFIC DEV / DESIGN SYSTEMS
Design systems that ship.
My work across Aurora and Luminis: design tokens, Figma libraries, component specifications, and agent-readable metadata that help teams build consistent sportsbook, casino, and multibrand experiences.

THE BIG PICTURE
The shared language behind the interface.
The work sits in a shared design-system monorepo used across consumer products. I connect design decisions with implementation: defining semantic tokens, aligning Figma with production, documenting component behavior, and curating the contracts that coding agents consume.
An agent-ready Aurora registry
The challenge
The quality of generated agent documentation depended on the registry behind it. Component contracts drifted from Storybook, compound components were misdocumented, and shared design rules and composition recipes needed a consistent home.
My contribution
- Drove an overhaul of component contracts, composition patterns, layout shells, and feature recipes for experiences such as bet slips and casino lobbies.
- Structured global rules covering accessibility, semantic tokens, responsiveness, theming, interaction, and copy tone so agents could work from explicit guidance.
- Curated token role and usage metadata into a generated inventory.
- Corrected compound-component documentation after a registry review, including Accordion and RadioGroup contracts.
What changed
Designers and coding agents can reference shared contracts, composition guidance, and token intent aligned with Storybook. The work record documents more than 40 hours across these registry workstreams.

From competitive research to build-ready specs
The challenge
Aurora needed a clear view of competitor patterns, the gaps in its own library, and the components worth building first. Engineering also needed more than a visual interpretation of Figma.
My contribution
- Reviewed competitor experiences with a mobile-first lens, created component inventories, and synthesized a master pattern list.
- Prioritized 10 build candidates based on product needs and library gaps.
- Authored implementation specifications covering anatomy, variants, responsive behavior, accessibility, and acceptance criteria.
- Created an interactive assessment playground for stakeholder review, covering patterns such as search, steppers, carousels, shared headers, game cards, odds chips, event rows, and bet slips.
What changed
In the recorded assessment, 16 of 18 tracked components advanced and 11 of 15 critical-path items were marked complete. The specification grew to roughly 3,000 lines, with deferred and cancelled items documented separately.

Semantic tokens across products and brands
The challenge
Themes needed to survive the full build pipeline and support real product states without one-off colors or hover states that broke contrast.
My contribution
- Delivered semantic additions for product-specific needs, including odds-chip states, reward colors, and VIP/VVIP assets.
- Fixed translucent hover and active-state generation where generated CSS changed intended fills and reduced white-label contrast.
- Led a first round of product-to-Aurora token mapping in Figma, replacing hard-coded colors on product screens.
- Contributed to multibrand tokenization and the continuing development of core, semantic, and theme layers.
What changed
The work connects Figma variables, JSON sources, generated CSS, and theme packages. Teams gain named semantic roles for real product needs, with documented examples of changes moving through the pipeline.

Dialog patterns across breakpoints
The challenge
Desktop modals and mobile drawers needed a scalable relationship, with close controls that respected tokens, focus behavior, and dismissal rules.
My contribution
- Helped shape the dialog and drawer approach across mobile and desktop.
- Specified close-control placement, properties, and states by breakpoint.
- Included keyboard dismissal, focus trapping, overlay behavior, and accessible labels in the implementation handoff.
What changed
Completed the design work with Figma deliverables and a defined set of implementation requirements for engineering.

Luminis, DataView, and Atlas
The challenge
Designers needed a route from Aurora into Luminis DataView. Atlas also needed clearer prototype-review and design-variant approval flows.
My contribution
- Explored DataView scenarios through the Luminis starter kit, with onboarding goals for designers familiar with Aurora.
- Contributed prototype review, UX refinements, audit work, and design-variant flows with vote-based sign-off in Atlas.
- Raised semantic color and icon needs based on product-table use cases, including reward and VIP states.
What changed
DataView exploration closed against its learning goal. Atlas work moved through recorded ready-for-test and ready-for-development states, with individual streams retaining their own delivery status.

The everyday craft of component quality
The challenge
A system stays useful only when its Figma guidance, component states, and documentation match how people actually build with it.
My contribution
- Documented menus, text fields, component specifications, and content hierarchy in the shared library.
- Designed input states, spacing, and token use; worked on alerts and deposit-widget explorations.
- Contributed component-test tasks and design QA as part of the release process.
What changed
188 design tasks in the tracked set cover component specifications, states, documentation, and library maintenance—part of the ongoing work that keeps a shared system useful.

A reference experience beyond Storybook
The challenge
Aurora needed a reference experience that explained the system beyond component examples alone.
My contribution
- Contributed to the ADS Studio reference website workstream.
- Worked across design and implementation review tracks, with paired tasks in testing at the time of the source export.
What changed
This was active work at the October 2026 snapshot. It is shown as ongoing rather than a finished release.

THE THREAD THROUGH IT ALL
Foundations are only useful when people can use them.
Across these workstreams, my focus is the same: make system decisions explicit, keep design and implementation connected, and give teams a reliable place to build from.
